The evening and Sunday service between Pontefract and Hemsworth is poorly used. Metro proposes to introduce a new hourly evening and Sunday service between Pontefact and Upton via Hemsworth and South Elmsall to replace existing Services 35/46. This will cater for the vast majority of existing customers using less resources. The last evening departure from Pontefract will be at 2128 (Monday to Saturday) and 2028 (Sunday). The 0705 Saturday journey from Hemsworth to Pontefract will be withdrawn due to low passenger use. |
