Todmorden, Lamplighter Festival (Calderdale)

Services affected: 589, 590, 591, T1, T2, T3, T4, T6 & T8

Burnley Road, Halifax Road and Rochdale Road closed for the Lamplighter festival on Saturday 17 November from 1640 to 1920

Services T1, T2, T3, T4, T6 & T8 will be delayed during the event (1800 to 1900)

First services will be diverted as follows:

  • Service 590 1640 from Todmorden to Rochdale will run 5 minutes earlier through out
  • Service 590 1725 from Rochdale will run 5 minutes earlier through out. This service will serve Todmorden bus station, passengers can alight at Myrtle Street.
  • Service 590 1745 from Halifax will re-route to Rochdale. The service will run as normal from Halifax bus station - Mytholmroyd - New Road/Cragg Road -  Mytholmroyrd (passengers for Mytholmroyd to get off at Mytholmroyd rail station) - Cragg Vale - Blackstone Edge - Littleborough, continuing as normal.
  • Service 589 1755 from Rochdale will terminate early at Salford Way/Rochdale Road opposite Morrisons. There will be no 1840 service to Portsmouth Burley Road. Customers wishing to travel to Portsmouth, will need to take the 592 service from Todmorden at 1910.
  • Service 592 from Burnley will termintae early at Todmorden bus station at 1830. There will be a 592 service to Halifax at 1840, departing from Phoenix Street, Halifax Road (opposite the Millwood bus depot) for those wishing to walk and connect to the bus (this will replace the 592 1830 from Todmorden - Halifax).
  • Service 592 1730 and 1800 from Halifax will terminate early at Millwood bus depot, Halifax Road, Todmorden. Any passengers wishing to access Todmorden will need to make the journey by foot.
  • Service 592 1920 from Halifax to Burnley will run to Hebden Bridge New Road and passengers will need to transfer to the waiting bus at Hebden Bridge to continue their journey to Burnley bus station.
