Squarepeg bus service 39 - Gledhow-White Rose Centre (Leeds)

Services affected: 39

Service withdrawn from Monday 18 February

Updated: 13 February 2019

Bus service 39 (Gledhow-Moortown-Headingley-Kirkstall-Armley-Wortley-White Rose Centre) will be been withdrawn by Squarepeg from Monday 18 February on the grounds that the service was not commercially viable.

All of these communities are within walking distance of regular buses to Leeds City Centre so any journeys on the 39 can still be undertaken through interchange.

This service was previously operated by First and Connexions Buses who both withdrew as it was not commercially viable.

As alternative means of undertaking journeys on the 39 are available through interchange, it would not be within the guidelines for support for the Combined Authority to fund a replacement service.
