Tour de Yorkshire on Friday 3 May and Sunday 5 May 2019 - bus diversions and road closures

Friday 3 May 

There may be delays to bus services in north east Leeds, Pontefract and South Elmsall whilst each race passes by. There will be rolling road closures but no diversions.

Service 7S will operate a normal route to Leeds Ring Road then left to Harrogate Road to resume normal route. Shawell Lane and Main Street will not be served between 1000- 1100 and 1530-1630

Bus services in Leeds City Centre will be subject to changes. Some City Centre bus stops will be suspended during the event and will not re-open for the remainder of the day. For bus services using alternative stops see list below:

Leeds bus services may be subject to delays or diversions during the event.
Below is a list of roads that will be closed at approximate times along the race route during the event. Once the roads have been re-opened buses will resume normal routes. These roads will be closed approximately up to 40 minutes before the race passes and 10 minutes after the last cyclist.

Burley Road (from Park Lane to Willow Road) This road will be closed at the junction with Westgate all day. Bus services will divert via Kirkstall Road A65.
Kirkstall Road A65 (junction with Abbey Road) Delays expected to bus services along this road between 1620 and 1720 due to rolling road closures.
Wyther Lane/Cockshott Lane Delays expected to bus services along this road between 1620 and 1720 due to rolling road closures.
Stanningley Road A647 between Henconner Lane and Ledgard Way Delays expected to bus services along this road between 1620 and 1720. All bus services will divert via Armley Town Street. No stops will be served on Stanningley Road between Henconner Lane and Ledgard Lane during this period.
Viaduct Road/Canal Road/ Ledgard Way Delays expected to bus services along this road between 1620 and 1720 due to rolling road closures. All bus services will divert via Armley Road and Wellington Road.
Willow Road (from Kirkstall Road to Burley Road) Delays expected to bus services along this road between 1620 and 1720 due to rolling road closures. 

Halifax Town Centre

The Tour de Yorkshire is departing from Halifax Piece Hall on Sunday 5 May 2019. Halifax town centre will be closed to buses between 0500 and 1500. If you normally catch any of the bus services listed below from Halifax Town Centre you will need to board at temporary bus stands in Halifax Bus Station: 

21  - Stand B1
510 - Stand A7
512 - Stand A7
521 - Stand B2
522 - Stand B2
523 - Stand B2
541 - Stand C2
542 - Stand C2

During this period all other bus services will operate to and from Halifax Bus Station. Delays are expected to all town centre services in Halifax.
