West Yorkshire Rail Users Urged To Claim Timetable Chaos Compensation (1)

24 September 2018

Compensation, agreed by Northern and TransPennine Express with the Government, is already available for season ticket holders, including MCard holders, on certain routes. Some 'regular' rail users will be able to claim for compensation from Northern in the coming weeks.

While the Combined Authority does not accept the compensation scheme goes far enough, it is urging rail users to check whether they can make a claim.

The existing scheme covers

Northern

• Leeds to York via Cross Gates
• Leeds to Selby
• Leeds to Nottingham via Barnsley
• Manchester Victoria to Bradford/Leeds via Huddersfield and Halifax
• Manchester Victoria to Leeds via Rochdale

TransPennine Express

• Manchester Piccadilly – Hull
• Manchester Piccadilly – Leeds

Northern has now agreed a further compensation scheme for 'regular' passengers on certain routes affected by the disruption.

Details of the extended scheme can be found here and it is expected to open for claims in October.
