Settle Carlisle offer 2018/19

27 November 2018

Some of the country’s best views from a railway carriage window are on offer at a cut-price rate to people with a Metro-branded English National Concessionary Travel Scheme (ENCTS) Pass.

Senior, Disabled and Blind Pass-holders can take advantage of discount fares of just £14 on the spectacular Settle-Carlisle and Leeds-Morecambe lines until Saturday 6 April 2019 thanks to an offer by train operator Northern and the West Yorkshire Combined Authority.

They can use their Pass to buy a Day Ranger for £14.00 and the offer means they can take up to four children along for a flat fare of £7.00 each. The offer is available on all trains except the 0551 Carlisle to Leeds via Settle and 0648 Lancaster – Leeds via Bentham Mondays to Fridays, and is valid all day at weekends and on Bank Holidays.

Passengers can take advantage of the offer departing from Apperley Bridge, Bingley, Bradford Forster Square, Crossflatts, Frizinghall, Keighley, Kirkstall Forge, Leeds, Saltaire Shipley and Steeton & Silsden stations. They can travel to any station between Hellifield and Morecambe, Heysham Port or Carlisle.

Both routes offer some prime walking country and passengers can break their journey at any point within the offer area.

Tickets can be bought in advance and are available from any staffed station or, when boarding at unstaffed stations or when the booking office is closed, from the conductor on the train. Travel must be on the date that is shown on the ticket. The Winter offer is not available during the week Monday 18 February to Saturday 23 February 2019.
