Leeds New Station Street reopens following major improvement works

From Sunday 6 October, New Station Street, outside the main entrance at Leeds Train Station will reopen to buses.
The New Station Street upgrade, delivered by a partnership of the West Yorkshire Combined Authority, Leeds City Council and Network Rail, has resulted in a significantly enlarged pedestrian forecourt outside the main station entrance and towards City Square, brand new bus shelters and yournextbus real-time displays.
The work will benefit over 35,000 people every day who use the entrance to catch a train, bus, pick up a taxi or walk to/from the city centre.
New Station street buses which were diverted during the construction works, will resume as normal from Sunday 6 October 2019, full details below:

This scheme is part of the initial stage of the wider masterplan with Network Rail for the station which has seen the main concourse roof opened up and ongoing construction work on a new Platform Zero.
