Getting into Leeds this winter

Leeds City Centre has some major highway schemes in progress, including the closure of city square for general traffic, which means your normal route into the city by car may have changed and extra congestion is likely. For more information visit City centre (leeds.gov.uk)

With award winning Park & Rides and the new bus fare price drop launched through the Mayor’s Fares and MCard, bus travel has never been simpler.  Cheaper fares to help with the cost of living have come at exactly the right time, so if you’re meeting up with colleagues, friends and family or simply enjoying the city this winter, here’s the best way to go about it.

Buses

Cheaper Bus Fares

£4.50 - the MCard DaySaver gives you unlimited travel* on any bus, anytime, anywhere in West Yorkshire so hop on and off any bus as many times as you like in one day.

£2 max single fare – You won’t pay more than £2 for any single fare on any bus in West Yorkshire. So a return trip will be just £4 or less.

£1 Leeds City Bus / Service 5 - Linking key locations around the city centre. (Free for MCard, Park & Ride and operator season ticket holders and Concessionary Pass holders otherwise operator fares apply)

Free car parking and just £3 for an all-day bus ticket (£2 on Saturdays), £2 after 1pm and £1 after 3pm.

Plus 3 kids go free with every paying adult.  So, the whole family can get into the city for just £1 after 3pm.

5 for £5 - Groups of 5 can travel on Saturday or Sunday for just £5.
