Westgate, Cleckheaton will be closed from Monday 10 June for approximately 12 weeks while Northern Gas Networks carries out essential repairs.
A free circular shuttle service, numbered 290, will run from stop 45024990 on Greenside outside the bus station via Bradford Road, Knowler Hill, Halifax Road, First Avenue, Third Avenue, Fifth Avenue, Second Avenue, Windy Bank Lane, Halifax Road, Moorside, Moor Bottom, Moorside, Westgate, Hightown Road, Halifax Road, Knowler Hill, Bradford Road, Dewsbury Road, Parkside and back to Greenside.
Service 290 will run every 20 minutes Monday to Saturday daytime and hourly in the evenings, and on Sundays.
Passengers will be able to buy day tickets on the shuttle service to allow them to join onward buses at Cleckheaton. MetroCards, MetroDay, DayRover and concessionary passes can be used on this service.
Diversions to services as follows:
Services 220, 253, 254:
• Normal routes to Halifax Road/Knowler Hill then via Knowler Hill, Bradford Road, Dewsbury Road, Parkside and Greenside to Cleckheaton Bus Station.
Returning from Cleckheaton Bus Station via Dewsbury Road, Bradford Road, Knowler Hill to Halifax Road/Knowler Hill and normal routes.
These services will not pick up or set down passengers between Knowler Hill/Bradford Road and Cleckheaton bus station.
Service 225:
• Normal route to Halifax Road/Moorside then via Halifax Road, Scholes Lane, New Road, Whitechapel Road, Turnsteads Avenue, Whitcliffe Road, Horncastle Street to Bradford Road and normal route to Leeds.
Service X25:
• Normal route to Halifax Road then via Scholes Lane, New Road, Whitechapel Road, Turnsteads Avenue, Whitcliffe Road, Horncastle Street, Bradford Road and normal route to Leeds.
Services 225 and X25 will not call at Cleckheaton Bus Station but use stops 45023512 and 45023513 on Horncastle Street which will be the main boarding and alighting stop. These services will also not pick up or set down passengers between Halifax Road and Horncastle Street.
