Rail replacement buses

During engineering works and disruptions, rail replacement buses may be used for your journey.

If your train is replaced by a bus service due to planned engineering work or in an emergency, the local train operator will try to stop as near to the station as possible.

Every effort is made to inform passengers of the locations where the rail replacement bus service will pick up or set down passengers at stations.

You are strongly advised to check your journey on National Rail's website or call 08457 48 49 50.

Tickets and rail replacement bus services
Where ticket purchasing facilities exisit, you will need to purchase a ticket prior to boarding a replacement bus service. If you do not purchase a ticket where facilities exisit, you may be refused travel.

Baildon	Pick up / drop off at the local bus stops outside the Halfway House public house on Otley Road, approximately 15 minutes walk from the station: Journeys towards Menston use the bus stop 45018851 opposite The Halfway House. Journeys towards Shipley use the bus stop 45018850 outside The Halfway House.
Batley	Pick up / drop off at station car park.
Ben Rhydding	Pick up / drop off at the local bus stop on Valley Drive at Craigmore Drive. Journeys towards Menston use bus stop 45014134. Journeys towards Ilkley will local bus stop 45014133.
Berry Brow	Pick up / drop off in the lay-by outside the station entrance on Birch Road.
Bingley	Pick up / drop off outside the station entrance.
Bradford Forster Square	Pick up / drop off at station front on St Blaise Way adjacent to the local bus stop (45025702).
Bradford Interchange	Pick up / drop off in the staff car park, adjacent to platform 1, through the red gate.
Bramley	Pick up / drop off on Stanningley Road adjacent to Bath Road.
Brighouse	Pick up / drop off in the station car park. First TransPennine Express overnight services may pick up / drop off on railway bridge on Huddersfield Road above the station.
Brockholes	Pick up / drop off on Ridings Fields, adjacent to station entrance.
Burley Park	Pick up / drop off on railway bridge on Ashville Road adjacent to station.
Burley-in-Wharfedale	Pick up / drop off on Station Road at the junction of Prospect Road and The Robins.
Castleford	Pick up / drop off in the station car park.
Cononley (North Yorkshire)	Pick up / drop off at the Mill car park on Cononley Lane - a 3 minute walk from the station
Cottingley	Pick up / drop off at the local bus stops on Cottingley Drive (45010325 / 45).
Cross Gates	Pick up / drop off at the bus stops on Station Road . Journeys towards Garforth use bus stop 45010512, by M&S. Journeys towards Leeds use bus stop 45014827, near KFC.
Crossflatts	Pick up / drop off on Keighley Road . Journeys towards Keighley use bus stop 45020300, opposite the station. Journeys towards Bingley pick up / drop off on Keighley Road by the station information boards, adjacent to Longwood View.
Darton (South Yorkshire)	Pick up / drop off in the station car park (Barnsley platform side).
Deighton	Pick up / drop off on railway bridge above station on Whiteacre Street local bus stops: Services towards Huddersfield use bus stop 45017281. Services towards Mirfield stop opposite bus stop 45017281.
Denby Dale	Pick up / drop off in the bus turnning circle, facing the station entrance at bus stop 45023989.
Dewsbury	Pick up / drop off outside the station entrance.
East Garforth	Pick up / drop off by the stepped entrance to the station on Fairburn Drive at bus stop 45011707.
Featherstone	Pick up / drop off on Station Lane next to the level crossing at the local bus stops: Services towards Pontefract use bus stop 45018215 by Last Orders. Services towards Wakefield use bus stop 45018216 opposite Last Orders.
Fitzwilliam	Pick up / drop off on Wakefield Road at the local bus stops: Services towards Doncaster / Sheffield use bus stop 45017882 opposite The Church of the Resurrection. Services towards Wakefield use bus stop 45017881 by Newstead Grove.
Frizinghall	Pick up / drop off by the car park entrance on Frizinghall Road.
Garforth	Pick up / drop off by station entrance in the station car park.
Glasshoughton	Pick up / drop off adjacent to the station at the local bus stop (45025612).
Guiseley	Pick up / drop off in station car park at end of Station Road.
Halifax	Pick up / drop off at the local bus stop on the bottom of Horton Street (approx 200 yrds from the station).
Headingley	Pick up / drop off at the local bus stops on Kirkstall Lane: Services towards Leeds use bus stop 45010957 opposite The Cricketers. Services towards Horsforth use bus stop 45010962 by The Cricketers.
Hebden Bridge	Pick up / drop off outside the station entrance.
Honley	Pick up / drop off outside the station entrance on Station Approach at bus stop 45023649.
Horsforth	Pick up / drop off on railway bridge on Station Road towards Harrogate and at end of Troy Road towards Leeds.
Huddersfield	Pick up / drop off at local bus stop S1 (45015428) on Railway Street, however at times other stops may be used under direction of the station staff.
Ilkley	Pick up / drop off at corner of bus interchange adjacent to station entrance.
Keighley	Pick up / drop off on forecourt at front of station.
Knottingley	Pick up / drop off in the station car park.
Leeds	Pick up / drop off at the designated stops, A and B, on New Station Street by the British Transport Police offices. On Sundays, some services may also use the stop S8, normally used by the Leeds City Bus.
Lockwood	Pick up / drop off on the main Lockwood Road, a 10 minute walk from the station: Services towards Huddersfield use bus stop 45021510 next to TheRed Lion. Services towards Denby Dale use bus stop 45021511, opposite the Conservative Club.
Marsden	Pick up / drop off by station car park on Station Road at bus stop 45019261. Certain Sunday journeys between September and December will call only at local bus stops on Manchester Road and not the station: Services towards Manchester use bus stop 45019367, opposite the New Inn. Services towards Huddersfield use bus stop 45015146, outside the New Inn.
Menston	Pick up / drop off in station car park by bus stop 45023936.
Micklefield	Pick up / drop off on the main road under the railway bridge.
Mirfield	Pick up / drop off at the local bus stops on Huddersfield Road: Services towards Huddersfield use bus stop 45015145 on the station side. Services towards Leeds or Wakefield use bus stop 45015146, opposite The Co-op.
Moorthorpe	Pick up / drop off at the local bus stops (45017058 / 9) on Barnsley Road, at top of station approach.
Morley	Pick up / drop off on Station Road next to the footbridge.
Mytholmroyd	Pick up / drop off at the local bus stops on Burnley Road: Services towards Hebden Bridge use bus stop 45019566, opposite ‘The Dusty Miller’. Services towards Sowerby Bridge use bus stop 45019567, outside ‘The Dusty Miller’.
New Pudsey	Pick up / drop off in the station car park.
Normanton	Pick up / drop off on Lower Station Road outside the Station Lodge Hotel.
Outwood	Pick up / drop off in the station car park.
Pontefract Baghill	Pick up / drop off in station car park adjacent to entrance in Station Lane.
Pontefract Monkhill	Pick up / drop off in the station car park.
Pontefract Tanshelf	Pick up / drop off on Park Road above station at bus stop 45018263 towards Knottingley and underneath bridge towards Wakefield.
Ravensthorpe	Pick up / drop off on Calder Road at top of station approach.
Saltaire	Pick up / drop off at the coach stop (45025851) on Caroline Street, a 5 minute walk from the station.
Sandal & Agbrigg	Pick up / drop off adjacent to railway bridge on Agbrigg Road at the local bus stop.
Shipley	Pick up / drop off outside the station entrance.
Slaithwaite	Pick up / drop off at bottom of station approach by railway bridge. Certain Sunday journeys between September and December will call only at local bus stops on Manchester Road and not the station: Services towards Manchester use bus stop 45028140, opposite the Starr Inn Services towards Huddersfield use bus stop 45019392, outside the Starr Inn.
Skipton (North Yorkshire)	Pick up / drop off outside the station entrance.
South Elmsall	Pick up / drop off at entrance to car park at end of Station Road.
Sowerby Bridge	Pick up / drop off by car park adjacent to station entrance by bus stop 45025824.
Steeton & Silsden	Pick up / drop off at bus stop 45023986, bottom of Station Road, near Rivock Avenue. This is on the opposite side of the road from the entrance to the station car park.
Stocksmoor	Pick up / drop off on Station Road adjacent to station.
Streethouse	Pick up / drop off by at the local bus stops by the station on Whiney Lane: Services towards Pontefract use 45017729, bus stop on the station side. Services towards Wakefield use bus stop 45017730, opposite the station.
Todmorden	Pick up / drop off by station on Station Rise at local bus stop (45024643).
Wakefield Kirkgate	Pick up / drop off outside the station entrance.
Wakefield Westgate	Pick up / drop off outside the station entrance.
Walsden	Pick up / drop off on main Rochdale Road; adjacent to station by the local bus stop (45018938) towards Todmorden opposite the station towards Rochdale.
