Castleford Bus Station travel Centre re-opened at 12 noon
on Friday 15 October after a two-week closure for
refurbishment.
Part of the upgrade has been the installation of new computers
and broadband links to enable staff to provide more services.
On Friday 8 October Pontefract Bus Station Travel Centre
re-opened after a similar upgrade.
Metro took over running the Travel Centres at Pontefract and
Castleford Bus Stations from the start of October after stepping in
earlier this year when Arriva announced it would be withdrawing its
financial support for them.
Metro is reminding passengers that they can use this website to
find bus timetables and train
timetables for all services in and through West Yorkshire as
well as route maps and guides for Bradford,
Dewsbury, Halifax, Huddersfield, Leeds, Wakefield and
Wharefdale.
You can also find information on money-saving tickets
and passes as well as any traffic disruptions or
services changes, together with an on-line journey
planner.
Up-to-the-minute travel news is also available via Metro's
Twitter feed at twitter.com/MetroTravelNews, or
through Facebook at www.facebook.com/westyorkshiremetro, while regular
email updates on disruptions, service changes and events are
available through Messenger.
