To help ease reluctant children and relieved
parents into the the new school year, Metro has posted details of
what bus services serve which schools and what types of passes
pupils will need at its GenerationM website for young
passengers.
GenerationM, has sections which feature an A-Z list of West
Yorkshire schools, with timetables for the buses that serve them,
and explanations of what type of pass is required to use each
service along with the downloadable application forms.

The GenerationM site also explains how people aged 11 to 16 can
buy a money-saving School Plus MetroCard, get a Young Persons
PhotoCard to prove their age and get half-fare travel, and how 16
to18 year-olds who are in full-time education, can get a Scholar's
PhotoCard to ensure they can enjoy half-fares as well.
Metro's Education Team coordinates transport to and from school
for more than 40,000 pupils, aged from 4 to 18, across West
Yorkshire.
Almost 10,000 pupils travel to and from 136 of the county's
schools on 150 purpose-built yellow buses transporting as part of
Metro's award-winning 'My bus' scheme.
