  • Bus service diversions near Xscape from March 2010

    From Monday 1 March until later in the year, buses will be diverted in the Junction 32 / Xscape area, due to roadworks.

    A free shuttle bus will operate during the daytime, to connect with some services.

    Services 134, 135, 136, 137 and 183

    Northbound buses (to Castleford, Normanton and Wakefield)

    • Buses will operate via Colorado Way - Tomahawk Trail -Colorado Way - Leeds Road.
    • Will use temporary stops on Tomahawk Trail opposite the permanent bus stops.
    • Will not serve bus stops adjacent to Tulip Inn & Glasshoughton Rail Station.
    • Will not serve stops on Park Road and Front Street (north of M62).

    Southbound buses (to Pontefract)

    • Buses will not be able to serve Xscape/J32 between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Saturday and 9am to 5pm on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
    • They will operate via Leeds Road - Front Street - Park Road, and a free shuttle bus will run every 20 minutes (30 minutes on Sunday), to link Xscape/J32 with Front Street (Malt Shovel) and connect with other buses.
    • When the shuttle service is not running, service 135 will serve the new stops opposite the permanent stops on Colorado Way and Tomahawk Trail.

    Service 410 (towards Leeds and Pontefract)

    • When the shuttle bus service is running, service 410 will not serve the Xscape/J32 area. Journeys will operate via Park Road - Front Street - Leeds Road.
    • When the shuttle bus is not operating, service 410 will stop at the new stops on Colorado Way and Tomahawk Trail in both directions. Journeys towards Leeds will operate via the Skills Xchange and not serve Park Road and Front Street.

    Service X62 (limited stop, both directions)

    • Will pick up and alight on Park Road (northbound stop) for journeys in both directions.
