  • Customer Information Enhancements at Rail Stations
    Keeping passengers better informed at rail stations across West Yorkshire

    Metro in partnership with Northern Rail has jointly funded a scheme to keep train passengers better informed at rail stations across West Yorkshire. Customer information screens have been installed at 18 stations. The new integrated systems give passengers up-to-the-minute train running information.
     
    New screens are now operating at:

    • Castleford
    • Cross Gates
    • East Garforth
    • Fitzwilliam
    • Hebden Bridge
    • Horsforth
    • Knottingley
    • Micklefield
    • Moorthorpe
    • Mytholmroyd
    • Normanton
    • Outwood
    • Pontefract Monkhill
    • Sandal & Agbrigg
    • Sowerby Bridgge
    • Todmorden
    • Woodlesford
     

    Metro and Northern Rail are currently developing the next phase of screen installations which will provide an additional 14 West Yorkshire stations with better information.

    Wakefield Kirkgate

    A separate scheme has funded the installation of customer information screens at Wakefield Kirkgate rail station. The scheme was part of the National Station Improvement Programme (NSIP) which is a Department for Transport (DfT) funded project.
