A project in partnership with Kirklees Council, for new centralised bus facilities in Heckmondwike town centre, adjacent to a new library and information centre (LIC).

The proposed bus facility will have five covered stands. The facilities will enhance passenger safety and comfort, with centrally monitored CCTV surveillance and electronic real-time passenger information displays.

There are also plans for 57 new car parking spaces, five dedicated disabled persons parking bays, direct level access on to platform 1, dedicated drop off/pick up point, and improvements to the station forecourt area.
