Accessibility improvements at rail stations

The Department for Transport has identified Bingley and Keighley rail stations within West Yorkshire as priority sites in its National step-free "Access for All" initiative. Proposals are currently being developed and could include.

Bingley rail station:

  • Lifts to existing footbridge
  • New handrails
  • New lighting
  • CCTV improvements
  • New signage

Keighley rail station:

  • Resufacing of existing ramps to Platforms
  • New handrails
  • New lighting
  • CCTV improvements
  • New signage
