MetroCard +1 - Bring a friend along on the bus for £1
From 7 January 2012, all Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly & Annual MetroCard holders can take 1 companion for a flat single fare of £1 on any operators bus service* in West Yorkshire on a Saturday or Sunday. The campaign offer runs for 3 months from 7 January 2012 till 1 April 2012 inclusive.
Terms & Conditions of MetroCard +1 Offer:
1. The +1 ticket is a West Yorkshire bus only product. It is not available to buy or use on West Yorkshire's rail network.
2. +1 is a single fare ticket for one bus journey. It is not a return ticket nor does it include any transfers between services. If you and your companion wish to make additional journeys, £1 must be paid on each bus boarded.
3. The offer is valid on Saturdays and Sundays from 7 January 2012 to 1 April 2012 inclusive. It does not include Friday evening.
4. The MetroCard holder and the '+1' companion do not need to complete their journey together.
5. The '+1' companion can be another adult or child.
6. +1 is available to holders of the following valid Weekly, Monthly, quarterly & Annual MetroCard Tickets: Adult Bus Only, Rail Zones 1-3, Rail Zones 1-4, Rail Zones 1-5, Rail Zones 2-5 and MetroMaster on journeys in West Yorkshire only.
7. +1 is not available to holders of: MetroDay, All West Yorkshire DayRovers, SchoolPlus MetroCard, StudentPlus MetroCards, MetroRover, Rail Zones 1-5 and 6, Rail Zones 1-5 and 7 and Operator's own tickets.
8. Normal MetroCard restrictions apply to +1 ticket.
9. +1 can be used on DalesBus journeys in West Yorskhire only.
10. *MetroCards cannot be used on NightRider services, football or concert specials, long-distance coaches, excursions, tours, contract, chartered or other private-hire bus or train services.
Special £9 winter offer on England’s most scenic railway
Once again, Metro and Northern Rail have teamed up to offer a special £9 day return ticket on either the Settle-Carlisle or Lancaster-Morecambe scenic railway lines.
For just £9 you can take a day return journey on either the Settle-Carlisle or the Lancaster-Morecambe lines from Leeds, Bradford Forster Square, Ilkley and intermediate stations as far as Skipton to any station between Carlisle or Morecambe. The promotion runs from Monday 5 December 2011 until Friday 23 March 2012, excluding half term from 11 February to 19 February 2012.
The offer is available to holders of any adult Bus-only MetroCard, StudentPlus MetroCard or Bus & Rail MetroCard (any zone, including Rail Cards 6 &7) every day of the week and holders of Metro-issued English National Concessionary Passes can travel any time Monday to Friday only ( this includes companions aged over 11, as long as your Pass has the companion symbol).
New to this year’s campaign is a £4 flat fare per child for up to 4 children under 16 travelling with one adult on a MetroCard/Rail Zone ticket.
