    Bus services

    Christmas Eve - Wednesday 24 December:  Saturday timetables, with services gradually reducing from 1800.  No service after 2000.

    Christmas Day - Thursday 25 December:  No service except for voluntary services in some area.

    Boxing Day - Friday 26 December:   There will be limited Boxing Day bus services in the Kirklees, Leeds, Wakefield and Keighley areas.

    Saturday 27  and Sunday 28 December:  Normal services resume

    Monday 29  and Tuesday 30 December:  Saturday timetables.

    New Year's Eve - Wednesday 31 December: Saturday timetables with services gradually reducing from 1800.  No service after 2000. No late night buses will operate.

    New Year's Day - Thursday 1 January 2015: No service except for service 757 between Leeds and Leeds Bradford International Airport.

    Friday 2 January 2015:  Saturday timetables.

     

    Train services

    Train services over Christmas and New Year are normally very busy, so please book in advance and reserve a seat if you are planning a long journey. Remember to double-check all your train journey details using the National Rail Enquiries Journey Planner.

    Christmas Eve - Wednesday 24 December: Normal service which will gradually reduce from 2000.  No service after 2200.

    Christmas Day - Thursday 25 December: No service.

    Boxing Day - Friday 26 December:  No service.

    Saturday 27 December:  Normal service with some early morning changes.

    Sunday 28, Monday 29 and Tuesday 30 December:  Normal service.

    New Year's Eve - Wednesday 31 December 2014:  Normal service which will gradually reduce from 2000. No service after 2200.

    • First TransPennine will operate 4 trains an hour during the daytime between Leeds and Manchester. The overnight services to/from Manchester will operate normally.

    New Year's Day - Thursday 1 January 2015: Normal service with some early morning changes. Grand Central trains will not be running.

    Friday 2 January 2015:  Normal service.
