Metro has a very comprehensive learning and development policy
in place which outlines the company's policy and plans for the
future. All new starters are given a thorough induction and any
essential training is given priority and undertaken immediately.
Development Reviews are held with your line manager every six
months. During this meeting, we discuss the employee's work and
related future developments and identify any training or
development they require to be effective and feel confident.
Development Reviews provide staff with a continuous opportunity
to improve their job skills. As well as general training courses
and seminars employees can apply to undertake further education
courses at college or university, which Metro will fund.
Metro will pay for annual subscription fees if you are a member
of a professional body that is relevant to your position.
