Metro and Leeds City Council are working in partnership to develop
a Trolleybus rapid transit system for Leeds known as NGT (New
Generation Transport). The project represents a major investment of
£250m in the City of Leeds. NGT will provide a high quality
transport system that will help support Leeds' economy and improve
the local environment by combating congestion. It aims, along with
other transport and public transport measures, to provide a step
change in the way public transport operates within the City.
We require two Projects Assistants to help support the
successful delivery of the innovative NGT Trolleybus project, which
is scheduled for opening in late 2018.
The duties for the Projects Assistant will be focused on helping
to coordinate and facilitate the development of the scheme, across
a wide range of areas which will include cost management,
consultation as well as helping to take the scheme through the
necessary planning processes. Further information on the NGT scheme
can be found on the project website on www.ngtmetro.com.
