    1. English National Concessionary Scheme (ENCS) Passes holding the Metro 'M' logo is a concessionary pass for use by the holder on eligible public transport services throughout England.
    2. ENCS Passes issued by Metro are valid on off-peak local bus services after 9.30am on Monday to Friday and all day at weekends and public holidays within West Yorkshire. The hours for free travel throughout England are 9.30am to 11pm, and may vary outside these hours in some areas.
    3. ENCS passes issued by Metro also entitle the pass holder to a concessionary fare on local rail services on the same days and times as bus travel.
    4. The days specified as public holidays for the purpose of these arrangements are set out in Metro's Changing Times leaflets, issued before the holiday periods.
    5. The ENCS Pass is valid on all bus and train services in West Yorkshire displaying the Metro symbol.
    6. Passengers using the ENCS Pass are carried subject to PCV regulations, local bylaws and the conditions of carriage of the operator.
    7. Metro ENCS Passes are issued by and remain the property of Metro and must be returned on demand.
    8. ENCS Passes are non-transferable. They can be used only by the authorised holder for the period up to the expiry date.
    9. ENCS Passes must be shown for each journey taken and to any authorised official on request. Users must provide proof of identity and residence if requested.
    10. Metro reserves the right to withdraw or cancel passes at its discretion.
    11. ENCS Passes must be returned to Metro if no longer required, or if the holder has moved out of West Yorkshire.
    12. If an ENCS Pass is lost, stolen or damaged, or any details on it need to be amended, the holder must apply for a replacement. Charges may apply.
    13. ENCS Passes may be used to store other electronic tickets. Such electronic tickets are valid for use in the area advertised at the time of purchase.
    14. For lost, stolen or damaged ENCS Passes:
      Occurrences can also be reported to MetroLine on 0113 245 7676. Lines are open 7am to 10pm, 7 days a week (excluding Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day). Alternatively, holders should visit their local Bus Station Travel Centre, the First Travel Shop in Leeds or the Leeds Visitor Centre. Holders may also apply in writing to Metro, enclosing your full name, address and telephone number and a cheque or Postal Order made out to Metro for £5 at:

      Replacement passes will be posted within 7-10 days.
      Replacement of damaged ENCS passes must be made in person to their local bus station travel centre, the First Travel Shop in Leeds or the Leeds Visitor Centre. Alternatively, holders may post their damaged pass to Metro at the above address enclosing your full name, address and telephone number. There is no fee for replacing damaged passes in this way, unless the card has been defaced or tampered with.
      Theft of a Metro ENCS Pass must also be reported to the police and the crime reference number quoted if and when seeking a replacement of the pass. There is no charge for replacing stolen passes if a valid crime reference number is provided (note: online replacements incur a £5 fee).
      You can also replace lost, stolen or damaged ENCS Passesonline. Please note online replacement of a stolen or damaged Pass will incur a £5 charge.
    15. Abuse or misuse of the ENCS Pass may result in the card being permanently withdrawn and could lead to prosecution.
    16. Passes do not entitle holders to concessionary rates on MetroCards or special promotion tickets unless stated.
    17. Holders are not entitled to any priority in a bus queue or at a rail station.
    18. Metro reserves the right to alter conditions and concessions at any time.
