A bus-only MetroMaster costs £106 and lets you travel as much as you like for one month within the boundaries of South and West Yorkshire. So as well as your regular journeys you can afford to expand your social life.

Buying your MetroMaster

For your first MetroMaster you will need to take along a passport-size photograph for the PhotoCard. You will be issued with either a MetroCard PhotoCard or a BusMaster PhotoCard depending on where you buy your ticket.

Existing MetroCard and BusMaster PhotoCards can be used with MetroMaster, and you can buy your first card up to two working days before the date you want it to start.

Renewing MetroMaster

To renew a card just show your PhotoCard. Cards continuing on from previous expiry date can normally be renewed one week in advance.

If you can’t get to a sales office, a friend or family member can renew your card for you by quoting your personal PhotoCard number. To renew by post send your PhotoCard number, the required starting date and covering cheque to either :

• South Yorkshire MetroMaster holders:
  Commercial Dept, South Yorkshire PTE, 11 Broad Street West
  Sheffield S1 2BQ. (Cheque made payable to SYPTE.)
• West Yorkshire MetroMaster holders:
  Metro Prepayments, 40-50 Wellington Street, Leeds LS1 2DE. (Cheques made payable to Metro)

Please allow seven days for processing and delivery.

Where to buy your MetroMaster

• Metro Travel Centres at
  Bradford Interchange, Halifax Bus Station, Huddersfield Bus Station and Leeds City Bus Station.
• South Yorkshire Travel Information Centres at
  Barnsley, Doncaster,Meadowhall, Mexborough, Rotherham and Sheffield. Bus Stations and most bus operators offices in South and West Yorkshire.

Using your MetroMaster

Just show your MetroMaster to the driver when boarding the bus. Always carry your PhotoCard for identification and validation of your ticket. MetroMaster must only be used by the valid user with matching PhotoCard.

If your journey extends beyond South or West Yorkshire, you must pay the additional fare at the start of your journey. MetroMaster is valid on all buses showing the South Yorkshire Transport Executive symbol or the Metro symbol.

MetroMaster is not valid on NightRiders, special late-night services in South and West Yorkshire, football or concert specials, National Express or other long-distance coaches, excursions, tours, contract, chartered or other privately hired bus services.

There are no refunds or replacements for lost, stolen or unused tickets. Damaged cards may be replaced without charge, but only if the details are still readable. Illegible cards cannot be replaced.
