Please note: The following changes do not apply to Metro-issued Blind Persons ENCTS passes.
For all train journeys wholly within West Yorkshire, Metro-issued ENCTS Senior and Disabled (including companions) passes:
- For all train travel departing before 0929, Mondays to Fridays, pass holders pay the full adult fare on trains.
- For all train travel on trains departing after 0930, Mondays to Fridays, and all day Saturdays, Sundays and public Holidays pass holders:
- For a single journey, pay approximately half the adult single anytime fare.
- For a return journey, pay approximately half the adult off-peak return fare.
There is no further discount on the half-fare if you hold a Senior or Disabled National RailCard.
If you are making many rail journeys on the same day, Metro-issued ENCTS Senior and Disabled pass holders may find it better value to purchase a Concessionary Train DayRover. This is available to use on trains departing after 0930 Monday to Friday and all day Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
Using your Metro-issued ENCTS pass for cross- boundary train travel
A discount of 34% on the adult fare for Metro-issued ENCTS pass holders travelling between West Yorkshire and South Yorkshire station on Northern services is available, however there are no other cross-boundary travel discounts available for Metro-issued ENCTS pass holders.
South Yorkshire ENCTS pass holders travel free of charge on direct Northern Rail services to and from West Yorkshire stations (after 0900 on Mondays to Fridays, and at any time on weekends).
Other authority-issued ENCTS pass holders travelling in West Yorkshire
Holders of ENCTS passes issued by other authorities are not entitled to any reduced rate train travel in West Yorkshire.
