Why do I need a Young Person's PhotoCard?
If you’re aged 11 to 16*, you need a Young Person’s PhotoCard to be eligible for half-fare travel on virtually all buses in West Yorkshire. It also provides proof of age and entitlement for train travel, and to claim a half-price rail season ticket.
*A Young Person's Photocard is valid until 15th September following the cardholder's 16th birthday.
You also need a Young Person's PhotoCard when buying or using a School Plus MetroCard.
Without your Young Person's PhotoCard you will have to pay the full adult fare for your journey.
How much does it cost?
It costs £2 to get your Young Person's PhotoCard.
Where do I get it from?
