Metro's Student Plus MetroCard is available
- for anyone under 22 years of age
- to mature students 22 years and over in full-time education (16 hours or more per week)
- in weekly and monthly options.
These tickets provide unlimited bus and train travel throughout West Yorkshire at any time of day or night (except Nightrider and special services).
Where to get a Student Plus MetroCard
Student Plus MetroCards are on sale at Metro Travel Centres, staffed bus and rail stations, Post Offices and many campus-based outlets.
The first time you buy a Student Plus MetroCard you will need to buy a Student Plus PhotoCard. You will need to provide:
- The completed Student Plus MetroCard application form.
- A passport sized photograph of yourself.
- Anyone up to age of 22 must provide proof of age - birth certificate, passport, etc
- Mature students aged 22 or over must provide evidence they are a full-time student for each academic year - i.e. registration document, grant form, student union card or letter from your college/universtiy.
There is no residency qualification required for the Student Plus MetroCard.
