What is School Plus MetroCard?
It's a bus-only travel card for anyone aged 5 to 18 years old in full-time education.

- Offers virtually unlimited bus travel in West Yorkshire at any time on any day of the week.
- Available as weekly or monthly cards.
School Plus MetroCards are valid on most West Yorkshire buses displaying the Metro logo at most times of any day of the week which makes them better value than some operator special offer tickets which can only be used at certain times or on certain journeys.
How much does it cost?
School Plus MetroCard costs £9.25 per week or £34 per month.
Cardholders travelling further than West Yorkshire will have to pay the additional fare at the start of their journey.

What to take with you
When you buy a School Plus MetroCard you will be issued with a Young Person's PhotoCard or a Scholar's PhotoCard. Your PhotoCard is used with your MetroCard, to prove who you are.

Renewing your School Plus MetroCard
Visit any bus station Travel Centre or Post Office - remember to take your PhotoCard with you. If you are unable to go yourself, a friend or family member can renew your MetroCard by quoting your PhotoCard number.
To renew by post, send your PhotoCard number, the required starting date and cheque (made payable to 'Metro') to:

School Plus MetroCards are not valid on Nightrider and special event bus services, such as football, concerts and some school contract services. They are also not valid on trains.
