Using your MetroCard

Simply show your MetroCard and PhotoCard to the driver when you get on the bus. At railway stations you will either show your card and photo to the inspector, or insert your ticket into an automatic gate. Conductors on trains may ask to see your card and photo too.

If your MetroCard covers only part of your journey, you will need to pay any additional fare before starting your journey. If you start your journey at a train station with an open ticket office, you must buy your ticket before boarding - no discounted fares are available from the conductor.

Company Annual MetroCards

Cards at discounted rates are available to employers who purchase Annual MetroCards in bulk. Further discounts are available for employers who have a Travel Plan. Please call 0113 251 7275 for further information.
