You can buy a MetroCard from:

• Bradford Interchange, Dewsbury Bus Station, Halifax Bus Station, Huddersfield Bus Station, Keighley Bus Station, Leeds Bus Station and Wakefield Bus Station.
• All staffed rail stations in West Yorkshire.
• Post Offices in West Yorkshire (weekly and monthly MetroCards only).

Buying your first MetroCard

For your first MetroCard you will need to take along a passport photograph, so a PhotoCard can be made for you to use with your MetroCard.

MetroCards can be bought up to two working days before the date you would like it to start.

If you are buying a quarterly or annual MetroCard make sure you register your card in case of loss.

Renewing your MetroCard

When you want to renew your card you just need to show your PhotoCard. MetroCards continuing from the previous expiry date can normally be renewed one week in advance. A renewal need not be for the same travel type or period as the previous card.

Please note train stations do not renew Metrocards more than two days before the expiry date.

To renew by post, send your PhotoCard number, required start date and cheque made payable to 'Metro' to:

Please allow ten working days for delivery.

Methods of payment

You can pay for your MetroCard with all major credit and debit cards.

If you are buying a card from a non-Metro outlet, any cheques should be made payable to that organisation:

• Post Offices - 'Post Office Counters Ltd'
• Keighley Bus Station - 'Keighley and District'
• Rail Stations - please check with the operator of the station, however rail stations will print the full details on the cheque.

Please note that you can no longer pay by cheque at Arriva's Travel Centres.
