Metro spends over £36m each year providing concessionary travel for blind, disabled, older and young people.

Anyone who hasn't already applied should order their Senior Pass or Blind or Disabled Pass now.
You can also find details at Post Offices and Bus Station Travel Centres.
People who have ordered their new Pass and are waiting for it to arrive can still use their existing Metro Senior, Disabled Person's or Blind Person's Permit - in West Yorkshire only - until it arrives.
Anyone who still has an enquiry about their Pass should contact MetroLine on 0113 245 7676, or call in at one of Bus Station Travel Centres where queries about outstanding or incorrect Passes are being dealt with.
Further details about the Government’s English National Concessionary Pass scheme can be found at the Directgov web site.
About the new English National Concessionary Pass
The English National Concessionary Pass entitles you to free, off-peak, local bus travel throughout England after 9.30am* on Mondays to Fridays and all day at weekends and bank holidays. Holders of a Blind Pass can travel in West Yorkshire at any time of the day for free.
9.30am onwards is the entitlement in West Yorkshire. The English National Scheme hours for free travel nationally are 9.30am to 11pm, times may vary outside these hours in some areas.
You cannot use the Pass on certain special services, excursions, tours, private hire vehicles, school and works contract services, and some express bus services.
For further information on what bus services your Pass is valid on please contact MetroLine on 0113 245 7676.
For West Yorkshire residents, the Disabled English National Concessionary Pass will also entitle you to train travel within West Yorkshire for just 35p**, after 9.30am on Mondays to Fridays and all day at weekends and public holidays. Blind pass holders are entitled to free travel at all times.
Cross boundary train travel
If you want to travel to or from points outside West Yorkshire by train, you must pay the additional fare at the start of the journey. This will normally be the full adult fare for the non-West Yorkshire section of your journey. If you do not pay for the non- West Yorkshire part of the journey prior to travel you may be charged the full adult fare for the entire journey.
Please note that fares may be combined only to and from a station at which your train makes a scheduled stop.

Metro’s Concessionary Travel scheme is widely regarded as one of the most comprehensive in the country and far more generous than the statutory minimum requirement.
