Metro promotes easy access to all the buses and trains in West Yorkshire through MetroCard.
MetroCard is a pre-paid travelcard giving virtually unlimited travel on buses or trains & buses in West Yorkshire (different options available). Benefits include:
- Valid on the services of nearly all operators
- Time-saving, just board the bus and show
- Highly cost-effective
- Valid at peak times as well as all others
The Company MetroCard Scheme enables you to bring the basic benefits of MetroCard to your employees and add to them. Discounts of up to 15% on the list price are available. Only a minimum of five participating employees are required.
The scheme also works well if you operate an advance of salary or interest-free loan scheme and allow employees to pay back through payroll deductions. There are no taxable benefit implications and it means that employees don't have to find the lump sum up front.
Your participation in Company MetroCard could save an employee over £100 per year (based on bus and all rail zones MetroCard, 15% discount).
