Funded by a successful £18.7m bid to the Department for Transport, Metro, the West Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive, has successfully implemented its revolutionary 'My bus' yellow bus scheme. A fleet of 150 brand-new custom vehicles now provide dedicated home-to-school transport for over 9000 pupils at 133 schools across West Yorkshire.

Metro is now investigating the possibility of introducing some of the key features incorporated in the 'My bus' scheme into mainstream education transport services for pupils across Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds and Wakefield.
