Metro, in partnership with Northern, has funded a number of improvements to the Class 321 fleet that operate in West Yorkshire.  The 4-car Class 321 units primarily operate services on the Leeds-Doncaster route.

 Metro funded the interior improvements which included:

• New interior Passenger Information System
• New CCTV system within the passenger saloons and each driving cab.
• Provision of door sounders
• Improvements to bicycle storage and wheelchair areas

 The refurbished units feature the new Metro livery that is shown in the picture below.
