Road show success

Metro meets its partners in Huddersfield.

Metro road show at Huddersfield Town HallOver 60 people attended a road show in Huddersfield on Friday 29 February, organised by Metro to tell its partners, stakeholders, and Kirklees Business representatives more about its services.

Delegates found out about Metro's Travel Plan Network, set up to help West Yorkshire employers promote sustainable ways of travelling to and from work, and its accessibility mapping software designed to inform companies about travel options.

They were also able to take the Transport Carbon Footprint Test and saw Metro’s free Metro Messenger e-mail alert system and the yournextbus real time information service in action.

“Transport and public transport is a subject of great importance to everyone and Friday’s road show was an opportunity for us to show Kirklees companies and organisations what Metro can do for them and their employees,” said John Henkel, Metro’s Director of Passenger Services.

"We were pleased with the attendance and received positive feedback from those that attended the event."
