Burley-based team Queens beat Hunslet Parkside in the Under 18s final of the My bus Yorkshire Cup at the Castleford Panthers ground on Sunday 25 March.
Metro Chairman Councillor Stanley King and Deputy Mayor of Leeds Councillor Jack Dunn presented the My bus Yorkshire Cup trophy to the team which had won by a 22-8 margin.
Sunday’s match followed on from the Under 12s, 14s and 16s finals at the Dewsbury Rams’ Tetley Stadium on Sunday 18 March, in which Kings Cross beat West Hull, Newsome Panthers beat Ideal Isberg and East Leeds beat West Hull.
“I want to congratulate everyone who took part in the My bus Yorkshire Cup, especially today’s last week’s victors Queens, Kings Cross, Newsome Panthers and East Leeds,” said Councillor King.
“Like Metro and My bus, they are winning teams,” he added.
My bus buses are available to hire to all schools and young peoples’ groups throughout West Yorkshire for recreational use.
