Metro is reminding bus passengers in West Yorkshire that the first set of service changes for 2007 took place on the weekend of Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 January.
In Kirklees, commercial changes made by Arriva mean many services have new timetables. In particular, services 207, 208 215, 224, 226 and X24 are withdrawn, and partially replaced by changes to services 128, 212, 221, 227, 254, 281, 283, 284 and X25.
In Calderdale, a year-long closure of Stainland Road, West Vale, means that services 225, 278, 343, 400, 501, 503, 539, 556, 557, 559, 570 and X25 will be diverted on journeys to Elland. New shuttle service W1 will connect West Vale and Elland every 15 minutes, Monday to Saturday daytime.
In Leeds, services 4, 16, 16A, 33, 33A, 42, 85, 87, 92 and X84 have new timetables. Services 51 and 51A have a new timetable and improved Sunday service, and there are additional Friday and Saturday night journeys on service 95. Service 54 is withdrawn.
Some other services in West Yorkshire have revised timetables or route alterations, but not every service is changing. Metro is advising passengers to read the Changing Times booklet on this web site, or to pick up a copy from staffed bus and train stations. New editions of any changed timetable are also available for downloading via Changing Times. And by calling MetroLine on 0113 245 7676, passengers can have up to 10 timetable booklets posted to them for free.
