Meet Metro on Tuesday 10 June.

Metro road show in Huddersfield Town HallMetro had the chance to meet its partners, stakeholders and Bradford business representatives to a roadshow at Bradford City Hall on Tuesday 10 June.

Visitors to the roadshow, open between 11am and 2.30pm, were able to find out more about the new Bradford FreeCityBus which starts in September, take the Transport Carbon Footprint Test and see Metro’s free Metro Messenger e-mail alert system and the ‘yournextbus’ real time information service in action.

There was also be information about a range of Metro services including its accessibility mapping software and its Travel Plan Network, set up to help West Yorkshire employers promote sustainable ways of travelling to and from work.

“With ever greater attention being paid to companies’ energy use, travel plans and carbon footprint, these events are an opportunity for them to come along and find out what Metro can do for them,” said John Henkel, Metro’s Director of Passenger Services.

“Almost 200 people have attended similar events we have held in Leeds and Huddersfield and feedback has been very positive,” he added.
