Halifax's Square Chapel hosts kids' art initiative

Halifax's Square Chapel Centre for Arts is hosting Artreach, an initiative to include children in creative activities, for the rest of this year.

Artreach is open to all members of the West Yorkshire community, with an emphasis on young people, those with learning difficulties or disabilities, older people and ethnic and cultural minorities, as well as refugees and asylum seekers.

Workshops, projects and other opportunities in a variety of art forms are being offered to all, with many activities, such as music, dance, drama, video and visual art, being free or offered at a subsidised cost.

The programme is supported by the Arts Council (Grants for the Arts) and HBOS.

You can use Metro's Journey Planner to find out how to get to Halifax by public transport.
