Cliffe Castle in Keighley will be hosting a family fun day on Tuesday 27 May, at 11:00am.
The event is free to attend and children will be able to explore mystery objects, carved rocks and rock art and illusions in a fun workshop.
Cliffe Castle is a beautiful mansion, once owned by the Victorian textiles millionaire H I Butterfield. Now it is a museum with a large range of exhibitions, including period rooms, fossils and minerals, antique toys and mounted birds and animals. There's even a two-metre long fossil newt.
Some of the exhibitions that children and parents can enjoy include Airedale: the Formation and Life of a Valley, which explains how the local geographic area was formed, and Working Landscapes, a journey into the lives of the region's first farmers 6,000 years ago.
Children under eight must be accompanied by an adult to the It's A Mystery family activity day.
You can use Metro's Journey Planner to find out how to get to Keighley by public transport.
