Girls Aloud will perform at Sheffield Arena on Wednesday 21 May.

The busy Brit-nominated pop stars will perform classics from their six-year back catalogue as part of their 2008 tour.

Cheryl Cole, Sarah Harding, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts and Kimberly Walsh are members of the biggest selling girl group of the last decade, with sales of over 4.2 million records in the UK netting them five platinum albums and with a record-breaking 18 consecutive Top 10 singles.

The girls are now riding high on the success of their last album Tangled Up but their beginnings were far less glamorous. The five were famously brought together by Louis Walsh as part of ITV's Popstars: The Rivals and went on to win the show with their number one debut Sound Of The Underground.

This is set to be a show-stopping concert with several high glamour costume changes. It will also offer the perfect antidote for anyone who missed out on seeing the Spice Girls' reunion tour.

You can use Metro's Journey Planner to find out how to get to Sheffield by public transport.
