Families will have the opportunity to experience the fun of Tots' Treasure at Wakefield Museum from Thursday 17 April.
Intended for youngsters aged two to four years old, the activity will see participants explore the museum's treasure box to discover interesting things about the objects on display.
Children will be able to go on an alphabet adventure, spot an anteater and find out about a xylophone, yo-yos and a zither harp.
They will then be given the chance to engage in some arts and crafts.
The events, which are free, will run on the third Thursday of each month until December, with the exception of August.
Situated on Wood Street, Wakefield Museum houses an array of interesting artefacts. Its exhibitions allow visitors to explore the sights, sounds and creatures of the South American rainforest, as well as brush up on some local history, among other things.
You can use Metro's Journey Planner to find out how to get to Wakefield by public transport.
