People looking to indulge in some theatrical entertainment will have the chance to see Happy Jack at the Carriageworks in Leeds on Friday 18 and Saturday 19 April.
Presented by the Library Touring Theatre Company and devised by John Godber, the play will get underway at 7:45pm each evening and is priced at between £6 and £8 per ticket.
It follows the story of Jack, a man of many personas, including a miner, father, conman, lover, brawler and comedian.
Through a series of vignettes, the scenes depict the drama of ordinary life and contain a mixture of humour, sadness and familiarity.
It chronicles the lives of Godber's grandparents and is based on a combination of facts and stories told in his own house.
Situated on Millenium Square, the Carriageworks hosts a range of performances, including plays, dance, music and films, as well as community events and workshops.
