The Priestley in Bradford is set to host a series of acoustic nights on the last Monday of each month, beginning on Monday 28 January.

Kicking off at 8:00pm and drawing to a close at 11:00pm, the open mic nights are guaranteed to be a hit with music lovers across the area.

The venue has seen many acts perform, both from the locality and from further afield.

It is hoped that 2008 will see its acoustic nights grow into new areas with bigger bands and greater audience numbers.

Formerly known as the Priestly Centre for the Arts, the Priestly is based in Chapel Street in the Little Germany area of Bradford.

It contains a 290-seat theatre and also has studio space with flexible lighting, sound and seating arrangements.

Despite going through a period of financial difficulty in 2003, the centre is now a thriving venue for performances of various kinds.
