The popular DayTripper bus services throughout the summer linking towns in the Leeds and Kirklees areas to tourist attractions throughout the county are back for 2007.
The services start on Saturday 21 July and will run until Saturday 1 September. Service 950 and 957 will also operate on Bank Holiday Monday, 27 August.
Three Day Tripper services are once again running this year:
- Service 950, operating on Tuesday to Saturdays starting Tuesday 24 July, will run from Leeds via Temple Newsam, Garforth, Aberford, Lotherton Hall, Ledsham and Fairburn Ings to Castleford.
- Service 956, operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays starting Tuesday 24 July, will run from Huddersfield via the Tolson Museum, Grange Moor, the National Coal Mining Museum, the Yorkshire Sculpture Park and Cawthorne Village to Cannon Hall.
- Service 957, operating on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays starting Saturday 21 July, will run from Holmfirth via Grange Moor, the National Coal Mining Museum, Dewsbury, Batley, Bagshaw and Red House Museums to Oakwell Hall Country Park.
A booklet containing the timetable and attractions along each route is available to download in pdf file format (362k file), from staffed bus stations, tourist information centres, or by post from MetroLine (maximum postal request is 10 copies).
All Metro's concessionary fares and passes are valid on these services. MetroCards and West Yorkshire DayRovers can also be used to make further savings.

There's more besides DayTripper routes
If any of destinations along the DayTripper routes aren't what you're looking for, then Metro can still help.
The West Yorkshire Events pages, which is updated daily, attract around 7,500 users each month, and include information on local concerts, exhibitions, plays and museums, as well as how to get to sports venues in the county.
So wherever you want to go in West Yorkshire this summer, let Metro help you get there.
