The buses are all low floor, easy access minibuses fitted with the most up-to-date safety equipment. AccessBus operates every day between 9am and 5pm.
Who can use AccessBus?
The service is open to all passengers. The trips and destinations available are aimed at providing a service to local destinations for people of limited mobility.
Where can I go on AccessBus?
AccessBus is a demand-responsive local bus service offering trips to local shops and facilities. We serve certain areas on set days, allocating places to customers to travel on the day when the bus is in their area.
Passengers wishing to travel must register with Metro’s booking service, who will advise on the availability of the service in their area. If a space is free, passengers may reserve their place on that trip on an ongoing basis.
AccessBus is a very popular service and many journeys may be fully subscribed.
How much does it cost to use AccessBus?
A flat fare of £3 per journey applies to travel on AccessBus. Passengers over 60 and disabled people holding English National Concessionary Fare passes travel free of charge.
