Metro is responsible for public transport within West Yorkshire. We subsidise necessary bus routes and fund local MetroTrain services.  We provide passenger information and manage shelters, stops and various bus stations.

There are often times of high demand for outside surveying. Metro are creating a pool of Outside Surveyors to do some work on an adhoc basis to meet these times of high demand and the duties would include undertaking timing, loading and other observations at bus stops and but station locations, headcounts on bus and rail services, undertaking passenger questionnaires and  can also involve assisting in analysing survey related data. From time to time there will also be ad hoc tasks to perform in connection with service changes, special events, etc. We would contact members of the pool offering work according to need.

Applicants for this post, should ideally have a good geographic knowledge of the West Yorkshire county area, be numerate and have the use of a car.
